Tru-Blu Oil Stabilizer is quite
different from anything else on the market. Because it is a 100%
petroleum product utilising cutting edge molecular technology,
it is totally compatible with all synthetic and mineral based
oils on the market (except vegetable oil) and is therefore safe
to use in your engine. Oil Stabilizer is a High Viscosity Index
oil supplement, designed to be mixed with your normal oil to
significantly improve your oil's ability to maintain (stabilise)
the viscosity index (operating fluidity characteristics), as
intended by the oil manufacturer. Oil Stabilizer blends fully
with your normal oil and once blended will not separate under
any circumstances. At the recommended rate, it will not change
the S.A.E. class or viscosity rating (thickness) of your normal
oil.
"Oil Stabilizer" contains
no chemical additives which could adversely react with the
chemical additive packages already in commonly used motor oils.
Does it have special properties?
The special properties of Tru-Blu Oil Stabilizer are
the result of altering the petroleum molecule during blending.
This process creates a unique product with the ability to
withstand extreme pressures and heat. When mixed with your
normal oil at the recommended rate, Oil Stabilizer dramatically
improves the ability of your normal motor oil to remain more
constant, resisting the normal viscosity breakdown of your oil
as the oil becomes hot under pressure in your engine. By
stabilising and therefore preventing the oil from becoming more
fluid (watery) under operating conditions, the oil therefore
better maintains its original viscosity (thickness) and
therefore its ability to cling to and better lubricate surfaces
and moving parts than otherwise would be the case.
What
is the 'ideal' for a motor oil to be?
As normal oil
becomes hotter, the more fluid it becomes (watery appearance)
increasing the run-off rate.
The ability of
the oil to cling to surfaces and moving parts is reduced.
The 'ideal' for a
motor oil is to maintain its viscosity (thickness) at the oil's
intended optimum level when very hot, to prevent oil
run-off-OR-to prevent excessive
thickening of the oil when very cold.
The aim is to maintain
the oil as new oil for all of the stated interval of time
between engine services.
Most normal
oils cannot maintain their intended standards for very long
Tru-Blu "Oil Stabilizer," when mixed at the
recommended rate (with whatever brand of motor oil you use) will
significantly resist the loss of your oil's thickness at engine
operating temperatures. This will provide a much higher level of
oil thickness between engine surfaces than normal motor oil.
The extreme pressure properties inherent in "Oil
Stabilizer," it will maintain your oil's optimum level of
viscosity long after any normal motor oil's life has expired.
"Oil Stabilizer" can be used in gear
boxes, transmissions and hydraulic equipment

The SECRET of Oil Stabilizer
The secret of Oil Stabilizer is
that it does not thicken your oil, it blends fully with your
oil.
This very
significantly improves the ability of your oil to resist
thinning of the oil (viscosity variation) caused by heat in your
engine, particularly under severe service conditions.
(for instance, at high speeds, towing, or short trip stop/start
driving). Because Oil Stabilizer resists thinning much
more than your normal oil, it cushions between metal surfaces
with a thicker film of oil.
This keeps engine
temperatures lower.
Cooler engines
retain more power, therefore less fuel is required to drive
them.
Oil Stabilizer is exceptionally good at sealing
engines and stopping all but the most severe of leaks at a
fraction of the cost of repair.
Once blended with your normal oil, Oil Stabilizer
cannot separate.
Oil Stabilizer does not contain any chemical additives
(which otherwise might adversely react with the chemical
additives already in your normal oils and fuels), therefore it
is totally safe to use in your engine.
Oil Stabilizer's amazing adhesion quality maintains a
layer of oil on all surfaces, including the upper motor from the
rings down, regardless of how long the motor is left stationary.
It stops the oil from completely draining off the internals of
an engine and thus protects the metals against corrosion during
storage.
When an engine is first started, normally a great deal of
wear takes place until the internals are completely
re-lubricated. Because TRU-BLU Oil Stabilizer remains on
the metals, this heavy wear is eliminated, so dry starts become
a thing of the past. We have observed an engine, left stationary
for three years, which still had a film of Oil Stabilizer
on the upper motor. There is always a film of oil covering the
surfaces to protect from corrosion, engine acid residues and
during the vital "start-up" period.
This means longer engine life.
Moisture has to be one of the
worst enemies of vehicles and machinery. Every gearbox, engine,
differential, in fact all machinery has a moisture problem from
moisture. Condensation, occurs naturally as the hot air in
machinery components cools down.
Moisture causes corrosion,
lubricant degradation and premature replacement of components.
In cases of major water problems,
such as a blown head gasket or water coming in through a seal,
Oil Stabilizer will absorb up to 50% water and still not froth
up and blow out the breather.
It also maintains most of its
lubricity even under such adverse conditions.
For every litre of fuel burnt in your engine, up to a litre
of water is produced as vapour. Some of this vapour finds its
way past the rings into your oil where it condenses and can form
rust within 24 hours of a motor becoming stationary.
Every motorist has water in their oil, not just 4WD motorists
who drive off-road through streams. When water comes into
contact with oil, emulsification occurs and the oil
progressively loses its ability to lubricate.
When your oil is very cold, (overnight in mid-winter or
parked at snow-field resorts) normal oil becomes thicker and can
solidify, particularly with water in it. This is the other end
of the scale of oil viscosity breakdown.
Not only does Oil Stabilizer improve oil stability by
resisting thinning of the oil when hot, thereby keeping
operating engine temperatures down, it also improves the
stability of oil by resisting thickening of oil when
cold.
Military vehicles using Oil Stabilizer have been
re-started without the usual assistance, after being left
overnight in temperatures of minus 22 degrees C!
You may
ask, if "Oil Stabiliser" is so good, why don't the
multi-national oil companies produce it?
Quite simply,
commonly used normal oils are just like any other commercial
commodity. Manufacturers want to make money selling it. There is
a huge market in low quality oils. In order to capture their
market share, manufacturers reduce quality to compete in that
price market. The average motorist is unable to know the
difference between high and low quality oils and they buy
cheaper oils because of price. This helps to drive the
market down. Stabilized oil would be considered too expensive.
But if you buy oil at £2.50 per litre, that's exactly what you
get! You can't expect more.
The unique advantage of using Oil Stabilizer is that
whatever normal motor oil you use, Oil Stabilizer will
improve the ability of your oil to resist viscosity variation in
order to maintain the optimum lubrication possible in your
engine under severe service conditions, the very job so many
oils fail to do after a short time.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS, DIFFERENTIALS, ETC.
Oil Stabilizer is not only beneficial in engines, it
will protect automatic transmissions, differentials, gearboxes,
power steering, turbos, wet clutches and brakes, transfer cases
and reduction boxes, in fact anywhere lubricants are used.

Oil Stabilizer maintains a film of oil on the
internals at all times, operating temperatures are much reduced,
relieving fatigue and stress. Additionally, corrosion during the
stationary periods is eliminated. With 4WD vehicles
particularly, these become critical issues off-road and in
remote areas.
Automatic transmission wear is a very common occurrence
in vehicles used for towing, even newer vehicles. A
reconditioned changeover unit for these vehicles is an expensive
exercise. Oil Stabilizer can prevented the damage in the
first place. On a hot day, a car traveling at speed into a head
wind will create stress for the engine and transmission. Add an
uphill section, or a caravan being towed and it will take no
time at all for the transmission to reach 120 degrees C, which
is a critical wear and fatigue situation. Oil Stabilizer
can very often reduce these temperatures by 50%.
Today, Turbos are very common, but running up to
100,000 revs, they suffer badly from wear and oil oxidation due
to high temperatures and lack of adequate lubrication. Consider
– they are the first thing to start up and the last thing to
shut down, thereby the last thing to get lubrication. Oil
Stabilizer will positively lower the temperature and reduce
oxidation, coking and wear because it won't run off. Lubrication
will always be there.
