New CopyCHROME is a SIMPLE plating kit that provides almost all the benefits of chromium plate - without all the hassle! The entire plating process takes the same time as our regular nickel plating kit, 15 minutes for indoors decorative, 30 minutes for tools, 1 hour for tough outside jobs!

 

The CopyCHROME process is ideal for all your small items such as door handles, brackets, hinges, nuts & bolts, stamped steel covers, etc. It can be applied to:- steel, copper, brass, bronze, old nickel plate, and with the aid of Zincate Primer, aluminium.

 

 

What is this New CopyCHROME? Designed to be much easier to operate than our older formula, New CopyCHROME is a nickel cobalt alloy, but formulated along the operating lines of our regular Nickel Plating kit. Customers who have already used Regular Nickel will find this a breeze!

 

 

The Cobalt imparts a 'daylight blue' tint to the nickel plate, and at the same time makes it much harder, so you end up using the Nickel Plating process (pretty easy), yet finishing with something more like chrome.

 

 

Current requirement is 2-6 volts @ 15 sq." of surface area per amp. allowing a small rectifier to plate those larger items, without the massive current requirement of a real chrome plate operation.
