1993 Jeep Wrangler JY

 A brief story of a very satisfied Krylon customer.

I have a 1993 JY with one of your hardtops, in tan.  Before I owned the vehicle, the hardtop had been abused, to say the least.  Is it possible to touch up the paintwork.  If so, with what?  Thanks,  D.B. Tamworth, England

Thank you for writing D,  There is not any touch-up paint that we sell. Some people have them professionally painted. Personally, I used Krylon for Plastic on my hardtop. I did 3 coats of paint, then used a fine steel wool to go over the top to even it out and it looks better than the factory original paint that came on the top and cost about $22. This is an option, or you could possible find touch-up paint from an auto parts store and try and match the color as best as possible.  Thank You.  Bestop Customer Service.  1.800.845.3567

Hi again Linda,  Well, I have taken some photos, reduced them in size somewhat, and blurred out the registration.  I am not delighted with the quality of the photos - perhaps the sun was a bit strong.

However, the top still looks fabulous.  Your paint was recommended to me by the hardtop manufacturer, Bestop in California; such are the wonders of email.  I used all three tins I purchased, and the job took about 3 hours.  It is the first time I have ever been satisfied with an automotive paint job I've done; and my wife is absolutely delighted.  She even washed the jeep herself!   By all means use the photos as you wish, and quote me if you like.  DB.
